Red Desert (Italian: Il deserto rosso) is a 1964 Italian film directed by Michelangelo Antonioni, written by Antonioni and Tonino Guerra and starring Monica Vitti with Richard Harris. This was Antonioni's first color film. Red Desert was awarded the Golden Lion at the 25th Venice Film Festival in 1964. (Wikipedia)

Persepolis
Persepolis is a 2007 animated film based on Marjane Satrapi's autobiographical graphic novel of the same name. The film was written and directed by Satrapi with Vincent Paronnaud. The story follows a young girl as she comes of age against the backdrop of the Iranian Revolution. The story ends with Marjane as a 22-year-old expatriate. The film won the Jury Prize at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and was released in France and Belgium on June 27. The film was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Full Metal Jacket
Full Metal Jacket is a 1987 war film by Stanley Kubrick, based on the novel The Short-Timers by Gustav Hasford. The title refers to the full metal jacket bullet type of ammunition used by infantry riflemen. The film follows a squad of U.S. Marines through their United States Marine Corps Recruit Training and depicts some of the experiences of two of them in the Tet Offensive (1968) during the Vietnam War.
